We’re seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Clinical Services School Based to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Assistant Director to oversee workload management, ensuring adherence to report submission deadlines and regulatory compliance.
- Take the lead in negotiating and addressing escalated matters with school leadership, demonstrating exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Partner with the Assistant Director and Team Lead to ensure Diagnosticians and LSSPs effectively and professionally meet the needs of schools, students, parents, and fellow clinicians.
- Play a pivotal role in the implementation and management of innovative resource management technology, spearheading the enhancement of departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and implement a robust quality-of-service program, meticulously aligning clinical standards and ensuring compliance with FERPA and Texas/federal SPED requirements.
- Uphold ethical business practices and organizational policies, establishing a culture of integrity and professionalism within the team.
- Serve as a mentor and coach, nurturing the professional growth and impact of DAS clinicians and promoting excellence in student testing and assessments.
- Continuously explore and identify new revenue opportunities with both existing and prospective clients, fostering sustainable partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with DAS Directors to successfully achieve departmental revenue and expense targets, overseeing billable hours, expenses, labor, and cost reductions.
- Take the lead in talent acquisition efforts, ensuring the recruitment of highly skilled clinicians and providing comprehensive annual staff training.
- Actively participate in professional conferences, displaying DAS expertise by delivering compelling presentations during training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Possess 3-5 years of exceptional experience as a SPED Coordinator in a school setting, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of SPED nuances and challenges.
- Held a valid Texas Teaching certification, reflecting your knowledge and expertise in the educational landscape.
- Possess either a Texas Educational Diagnostician certification or Texas LSSP Certification, combined with 3-5 years of experience in either role, highlighting your comprehensive understanding of assessment and evaluation processes.
- Be a role model with your ability to collaborate seamlessly with other DAS clinical professionals, such as SLP or OTs, fostering interdisciplinary teamwork and maximizing student support.
- Show at least 5 years of outstanding managerial and leadership experience, demonstrating exceptional strategic thinking and team management skills.
- Exhibit a proven record of successfully overseeing departmental budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial stewardship.
- Display exceptional talent in hiring and coaching clinical providers, empowering them to reach their full potential and deliver exceptional services.
- Possess a comprehensive working knowledge of Texas and federal SPED compliance requirements, staying updated with the latest regulations.
- Demonstrate confidence and proficiency in utilizing advanced technologies to streamline departmental operations and drive organizational success.
- Describe your hands-on experience in resource planning best practices and software implementation, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of resources.
Location: This position is a remote position and can be located anywhere in Texas, provided quick access to Houston, San Antonio, or DFW is available. Approximately 30% of your time will be at school.
